Junior Olympic Cross Country Championships
Walnut Grove Park – 151st & Q Streets – Omaha, Nebraska
Sunday, November 13, 2016 – 2:00 p.m.
Meet Schedule: Course walks will begin at 1:00 p.m. The first race will begin at 2:00 p.m.
with all boys and girls in each distance running together. The subsequent races will begin ten
(10) minutes after the previous race finishes.
Approximate race schedule (age divisions may be combined for competition purposes):
• 2:00 p.m. – 2,000 meters (~1¼ miles)
o 8 & Under Boys and Girls (born 2008 or later)
• 2:30 p.m. – 3,000 meters (~1⅞ miles)
o 9-10 Boys and Girls (born 2006-2007)
o 11-12 Boys and Girls (born 2004-2005)
• 3:00 p.m. – 4,000 meters (~2½ miles)
o 13-14 Boys and Girls (born 2002-2003)
• 3:30 p.m. – 5,000 meters (~3⅛ miles)
o 15-16 Boys and Girls (born 2000-2001)
o 17-18 Boys and Girls (born 1998-1999)
USA Track & Field Membership: All participants must have a current 2016 or 2017 USATF
membership. Membership applications can be downloaded or completed online at usatf.org.
Entry fee: $6 per athlete. Enter online at
athletic.net by 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, November
10. No entries will be accepted on the day of the meet.
Awards: Medals will be presented to the top ten (10) individuals in each age division.

www.nebraskausatf.org.National Qualification: The top ten (10) individuals and the top team in each age division
qualify for the USATF National Junior Olympic Championships in Hoover, Alabama on
Saturday, December 10. Enter online at
athletic.net by 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, November 20.
